The Apothecary is proud to present a Little Rascals Comedy Night at 7.30pm Wednesday 2nd December! Starring Simon McKinney and featuring David McCartney (2015 Raw Comedy Quest Finalist), Tarun Mohanbhai and Nick Rado. Tickets are $25 – Door Sales will be available but we have SOLD half the tickets already! Talk to our friendly staff if you wish to purchase a ticket when you next pop in to visit us!

Here’s a little about our comedians!
Simon McKinney – Simon is one of NZs most multi-talented professional comedians.

Simons unique skills have seen him become recognized as New Zealand’s leading stand up impressionist and a much sought after comedian for both live, touring and corporate performances. His impressions of TV celebrities, the famous and infamous and of course his iconic kiwi characters, the “kiwi lady”, “that drunk guy” are now so well recognised they themselves are mimicked by the NZ public.

At the 2011 NZ International Comedy Festival, Simon was nominated for the Festival’s supreme award “The Fred” for his solo show “People”.
He is also a past Billy T Award Nominee, 2007 winner of the NZ Comedy Guild “Best Male Comedian” and in 2010 received the “Reilly Comedy Award” from the Variety Artists of New Zealand.

Simon has also appeared on numerous television shows including “Pulp Comedy”, many “Comedy Gala’s, appearances on TV3’s “AotearoHA” and TVNZ’s “A Night At The Classic”, “NZ Variety Show” and “Comedy Christmas Cracker”. He has his own episdone of TV2’s “The Year That Was”.
In 2011 Simon was invited to open for UK comedy great Tommy Tiernan and USA’s Greg Proops.

He is constant demand on the corporate circuit and as a featured Cruise Ship entertainer where his unique style of quirky comedy charms audiences the world over.

David McCartney – With his self deprecating posture and contagiously charismatic personality, McCartney will manifest his world right before your eyes and will take you places of which there’s no coming back…

Within Dave’s first 10 months he made his way to the Grand Final for the 2015 Raw Quest and he’s only getting betterish….

You may recognize him from TV but probably not… trying to find the perfect road with Speights or having a laugh with Brian Blessed thanks to ASB!
Whether you’re laughing with him or at him, its all good… he’ll take what he can get.
There hasn’t been a McCartney this good since Jesse !!!

Tarun Mohanbhai – Star of TV3’s current series ‘1000 Apologies’ and The Millen Baird Show A previous Billy T Award nominee, Winner of Raw Comedy Quest in 1998 and Winner of ‘BEST SHOW’ – 2004 NZ International Comedy Festival Tarun has been on the local pro circuit for over ten years.
Having performed in Australia, North America, Asia, South Africa and the UK. In recent times he has dabbled in the thespian world and has chalked up 3 theatre pieces, D’arranged Marriage, From India with love and Cornershop Confessions.

And last but not least Nick Rado – Nick Rado is an international multi award winning presenter, producer, writer, MC and stand-up comedian.

In 2014 you can catch him in your living rooms on TV3’s 7 Days, TVNZ’s ‘Short Poppies’ (Rhys Darby’s new sitcom) as recurring character Jeff Mason or in person at the NZ International Comedy Festival with his brand new show ‘How did we survive the 90’s?’
